Rino Sashihara Takes the No.1 Spot in 2013 AKB48 General Election

HKT48 member Rino Sashihara grabs the first spot of the AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu General Election that was streamed earlier on YouTube, and takes the center position for the idol group's new single to be released on August 21st.

Sashihara garnered 150,570 votes. Coming in second is Yuko Oshima with 136,503 votes, and Mayu Watanabe on third with 101,210 votes. Voting for this election started on May 21st and just ended yesterday on June 7th.
