    I think (based on Xerneas) yes, Fairy is probably the rumored Light (white magic) type that was designed to accompany Dark. I guess the team decided to change the name to fit the France nature, and because of its advantage against Dragon

    No fairy=fairy

    There are some pros and cons to the info given to us, though it is mostly pros.

    The Pokémon revealed are pretty good, especially Goronda and the Squid line. The new Pokémon Professor looks cool and so do the new Gym Leaders.

    The evil team look kinda off to me, as they look more like stage performers than criminals, but I do like how their plans are more revolved around profit than world domination or destruction.

    However, what I do have to tilt my head at is Xerneas' and Yveltal's typing. Bear in mind that pretty much all legendaries teams have something in common when it comes to their typing. Some teams may have all members be pure typed, while others may have one type in common within their dual types. But for Xerneas' and Yveltal's types? One is a pure Fairy type while the other is Dark/Flying. I just can't help but feel it slightly breaks the mold. And while I know that Rayquaza broke the mold as well being the only member of the Weather Trio to be dual typed, it still feels off somehow as it felt consistent aside from that.

    @Anonymous WillowWisp After reading that Xerneas is the life pokemon and Yveltal is the destruction pokemon it sort of pans out.

    Example Life would represent light and everything good/beautiful, and Destruction/Death would represent an absence and complete darkness.

    Personally, I feel Pokemon may have a stumbled into a bigger question of Life and Death for this generation. And that would mean the 3rd Pokemon in rare mascot category would represent either Limbo or Null, basically the balance between the two extremes.

    The storyline may or may not delve so deep into the Life and Death scenario, but the idea of having Pokemon like may at least be a good start for future stories.

    @WillowWisp

    I'm guessing they wanted Yveltal to be pure Dark, but then realized they already done that with Darkrai XD. Plus I think they also break that pattern with Dialga Palkia and that third one (I forgot the name)

    What I just realized though, is how they should've made this legendary types in the BW, considering White is more fitting as Light/Fairy and Black is Dark. To be honest, now that I think of it, those type would fit Reshiram and Zekrom better.

    well, you could consider fairy type as "light," so the legendaries have a theme light vs darkness which is good. I am curious as to what will be the third legendary look like or its connection to Xerneas and Yveltal

    Karamanero sounds like "Cara Maneiro" (Cool Dude) in portuguese
