S.H. FiguArts Kamen Rider Kabuto Ver 2.0 Revealed!

Today, July 12th, is the start of Tamashii Features Vol.6, an event showcasing the latest innovations and upcoming releases from Bandai's Tamashii Nations products. Revealed today is the updated version of the same figure originally released back in October 2008, the S.H. FiguArts Kamen Rider Kabuto Ver 2.0.

The new S.H. FiguArts Kamen Rider Kabuto will have an updated mold and everything that needed to be fixed from the original release, especially the legs, seems to be fixed. It's also more screen accurate than the previous release. The figure is expected to be available by 2014.

Additionally, Bandai also showcased the new S.H. FiguArts Kamen Rider mold, currently seen at Black Renewal Ver., Kabuto Ver 2.0, and probably Blade and Blade King Form. It is expected that succeeding releases will be using this mold.

Moreover, Bandai will now be releasing effect parts set for S.H. FiguArts. It will be called Tamashii Effects Act. There are currently four sets available: Impact (1500 yen), Flame (1800 yen), Explosion (2500 yen), and Steps (2000 yen). Release dates are yet to be announced.

Not to mention a possible renewal for all the other Riders...

Because the previous mold on Kabuto was known for being too anorexic, and I've seen many accounts of it having very loose joints. Stylistically, it would not fit in with more recent Figuarts. It's also why they're remaking Black, because the previous release looked too sleek, and not enough like the actual suit. I personally wouldn't mind if they remade a lot of previous releases, especially many of the OOO figures.

@ 2nd anon, it's because loyal fans will buy them, well a good amount of them. I for one am looking forward to Kabuto and maybe the flame parts should they ever re-release Tajadol (which is expensive specially the effect parts D;)

i just hope these new molds stay true to the human anatomy, wizard's figuarts looked too anime-ish. which is why i like RAH's better(besides them being expensive.)

  9. Kevin Says:

Version 2 is more show-accurate, but I actually kind of like the first version just a bit better still. Or am I just crazy?

  10. Douglas Says:

I hope Kamen Rider 555 gets a renewal version, too! And that they finally make a Hibiki Figuarts.

  11. Ok that kabuto figure looks damn good.... As long as its a normal release ill buy it.

i agree i hope they make a sh figuarts hibiki line as well as a remake of kamen rider 555 faiz as well i wasnt to crazy about its paint scheme. i thought the colors on it were too dull.im sure this kabuto will be a normal release but if they remake hyper form i can see them making that one an exclusive this time around.

I hope to see the cast parts for his masked form then. I definitely don't need a cast off function just the pieces that maybe can be magnetically put on?

i might be the only one but i kinda think it would release the base s.h.figuarts mold like if it was a shadow puppet which i think is really cool or just give the base mold a suit and paint the head and hands white so we can have a cool slenderman toy for any s.h.figuarts toy to fight
