Yahoo Japan started streaming a 12-minute special footage for the upcoming Space Pirate Captain Harlock (キャプテンハーロック) CG film. The movie features the voices of Shun Oguri as the titular character, and Haruma Miura as Yama.

Written by Leiji Matsumoto back in 1977-79, it tells the story of the titular Captain Harlock, who rebels against Earth's inept government and fights for humanity with his crew of 40 aboard the invincible space battleship Arcadia. Meanwhile, the movie-only character, Yama, is a young man who infiltrates the Arcadia, attempting to assassinate Captain Harlock.
Directed by Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) with scripts from Harutoshi Fukui (Mobile Suit Gundam UC), Space Pirate Captain Harlock premieres September 7th. Reported to cost an equivalent of 30 million U.S. dollars, this is the highest production budget ever released by Toei Animation!
