The official website for the new Gundam Build Fighters anime series had finally released the names of the voice cast. The new Gundam anime is scheduled to premiere this October.
The main cast are as follows:
- Mikako Komatsu (K) as Sei Iori
- Sachi Kokuryu (Cross Fight B-Daman) as Reiji
- Yui Ishikawa (Attack on Titan) as China Kōsaka
- Takuya Satō as Tatsuya Yūki,
- Minami Fujii as Mao Yasaka
- Yūichi Nakamura (Guilty Crown) as Ricardo Fellini
- Kotono Mitsuishi (Sailor Moon) as Rinko Iori
Along with his new found friend Reiji, an accomplished Gundam Fighter, they strive for the GunPla Battle world championships. Other characters include Tatsuya Yūki, nicknamed "Crimson Comet" with his Zaku Amazing, and Sei's schoolmate, China Kōsaka.
Gundam Build Fighters will be directed by Kenji Nagasaki (No. 6) with scripts supervision of Yousuke Kuroda (Gundam 00). Kenichi Ohnuki (Mobile Suit Gundam Seed C.E.73: Stargazer) and Suzuhito Yasuda (Durarara!!, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation) will handle the character designs. The mecha designers are Kunio Okawara, Junichi Akutsu, Junya Ishigaki, Kanetake Ebikawa, and Kenji Teraoka.

Since if they didn't make new fans now, they'll end up only having 40-50 year olds buying gunpla(s). I believe this is their some sort of marketing strategy to attract new fans so the gundam merchandises and toys are marketable in 10-20 years or so.
I think they are focusing more on Unicorn than a new gen Gundam series. I like Gundam Age but yeah, we need something a bit less angst in pilots and a seriously good plot. I will try this out and give it until 5 episodes before I decide to continue or not.

They don't look like kids, they look like teenagers drawn in a very "light" style.
did you watch the trailer? i think they don't really piloting the gundam. more like remote controlled gundam
i have to agree with Anonymous(August 10, 2013 at 6:36 PM),there are kids that actually like Gundam Age at the time it was released.Probably they focused on two commodities:kids(for newer fans) and adults(or purists) alike.
If it's anything like Gunpla Builders ONA then it should be pretty good.
