Shonen Gangan announces that Yoshiki Tonogai's psychological suspense manga Judge will be having its first live action film adaptation. The film will be led by actor Koji Seto (Kamen Rider Kiva).
The full cast are as follows:
- Koji Seto as the wolf
- Kasumi Arimura (Hagane no Onna, Clover) as the lion
- Jiro Sato (Gokusen, Densha Otoko) as the fox.
- Kazuyoshi Taira as the bear,
- Fukino Kawate as the pig
- Sōtarō Tanaka (Kibō no Koku) as the dog,
- Yūko Nishimaru (Salaryman Kintaro) as the rabbit.
Maybe you are all wondering why the roles are labeled like that. In the original manga, nine young strangers wake up and find themselves wearing animal masks in a shuttered old courtroom. Accused of sins, they must judge and sacrifice each other one by one, until the last four survivors are the only ones left. They must all play the game, or they will all die.
Directed by Yō Kohatsu (Waya!, Seichi e, Chokujou se yo!), the live-action Judge film premieres in Japanese theaters on November 8th.

Looks like someone messed up the movie really bad...
I don't recognize any of these characters from the manga. At all.
They even changed some of the masks, and switched around between the characters. WTF?
There's also a character missing, either the other wolf or the horse guy. I can't really tell who ,because like I said, none of the characters are even close to being recognizable from the manga.
This looks just like a quick cash-in movie. Unless this somehow turns out to be one of the other Judges that the manga is currently on.
Koji "Kiva" Seto is great actor. I hope see this movie.

I think this will have a different story details.
Just like what lots of live-action adaptation film always do.
Furthermore, this could have entirely different story.
I won't spoil the manga, it's only my speculation.
There's a reason behind the mask's representation in the manga.
So in this one I feel curious about the reason why did they put the Fox on the old man, the Lion on the girl who would likely be the heroine, and the Wolf on the main hero.
Are those going to change the twist in this story?
I can't wait to see it.
When I saw the preview pic, I immediately hoped for a live action hotline miami movie, then I saw the articles title...never read the manga, it looks interesting, although it also feels a bit like Zero Escape: Virtue's last reward...although the manga was created first
