More Cast Revealed for "Pokémon: The Origin" Anime


The official website for the upcoming Pocket Monsters: The Origin anime special reveals three new addition voice cast. Follow Red as he travels through the Kanto region, encounters Team Rocket, battles his rival, and challenges the Pokémon League!

New cast members include Yui Ishikawa (Attack on Titan) as Reina, Tokuyoshi Kawashima (Polar Bear's Café) as the Shiten'nō (Elite Four) member Wataru (Lance), and Minoru Inaba (Cross Game) as Old Man Fuji.

It was previously revealed that Junko Takeuchi (Naruto, Inazuma Eleven) will be voicing Red, while Professor Ōkido (Professor Oak) will be voiced by Katsuji Mori (Gatchaman, Legend of the Galactic Heroes). Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama, Kamen Rider Kiva) will play the gym leader Takeshi (Brock), and Rikiya Koyama (Hajime no Ippo) as Sakaki (Giovanni), the leader of the evil organization Team Rocket.

Pocket Monsters: The Origin premieres this October 2nd, and will be streamed online on November 15th as Pokémon: Origins on the Pokémon TV website for North America.
