"Bayonetta: Bloody Fate" Anime Film Gets Manga Adaptation


Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, an anime film adaptation inspired by the Bayonetta game series, will get its own two-part manga adaptation courtesy of Tiger & Bunny manga artist Mizuki Sakakibara.

Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine will be publishing the first part of the manga on its December issue this November 9th, while the second part will run in the January issue on December 9th.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that the DVD and Blu-Ray of Bayonetta: Bloody Fate will be released on January 24th. Aside from the film, regular editions comes with footage from the onstage greetings by the staff and cast at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and the Bayonetta promotional videos. The Blu-Ray Deluxe Special Edition adds still-frame storyboards from director Fuminori Kizaki on the extras disc, a script, a miniature version of the theatrical pamphlet, and a soundtrack CD (with 40 tracks).

Directed by Fuminori Kizaki (Afro Samurai, Basilisk, Super Street Fighter IV, X-Men), with screenplay by Mitsutaka Hirota (The Prince of Tennis II), the Bayonetta: Bloody Fate film will premiere on November 23rd and will play in 10 theaters throughout Japan for two weeks.
