Gravure idol Dan Mitsu will be starring in a new tokustasu film entitled Earth Defense Widow, by director Minoru Kawasaki. Following Earth Defense Girl Iko-chan and his 2011 film Earth Defense Girls P9, this is the third installment of Kawasaki's lifework "Delusional Tokusatsu" series.
Mitsu takes the role of Dan, a flying ace of JAP and ex-geisha girl. She seeks revenge on the nuclear waste consuming monster Bemulars after her fiance was killed by it. But there's one problem. She feels ecstasy every time attacking the monster. Can she save the earth?
Also starring in the film are Koji Moritsugu (Dan Moroboshi in Ultra Seven) and Shunichi Okita (Ichiro Yamanaka in Ultraman Ace). Kamui Fujiwara (Dragon Quest) designs the costumes of "JAP" members, and Kia Asamiya (Silent Möbius) designed the monster Bemulars.
Earth Defense Widow will be released in Japanese theaters on February 8th, 2014.
