Initial Info on Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger

Kyukyu Sentai GoGoV's Grand Liner

Days before the scheduled TOEI & TV-Asahi press conference for the upcoming 38th Super Sentai series Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger (烈車戦隊トッキュウジャー), some information had been revealed online by Japanese website Tokyo Sports.

According to the article, the new series will target not only kids, the usual target audience for a Super Sentai series, but also train enthusiasts. It is also stated that the series will be using a different call sign, トッキュウ1号 for Tokkyu 1 (Tokkyu Ichigou), Tokkyu 2 (Nigou), Tokkyu 3 (Sangou), Tokkyu 4 (Yongou) and Tokkyu 5 (Gogou). And the transformation device will be electronic tickets

The article also sites another train-themed TV series, Kamen Rider Den-O, which leads to a number of movies of v-cinemas. They also noted that the series launched the popularity of actor Takeru Satoh.

Copyright for Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger was registered last September. Initial images and confirmed information are expected to be released later this week to early next week. Meanwhile, cast reveals will be on late December or early January.

Electronic Train passes? Ugh.. they are not even trying to hide the fact they want a Den-O clone to make a profit off of.

Still willing to give this a shot as I loved Trains as a little tyke.

However, If they have 5 obnoxious side characters who take over the Rangers positions, I'm bailing.

We have had 8 movies and a TV series of that nonsense in KR, I don't want to see anymore.

What I'd like to see, is the comeback of individual mechs.

With Trains, they're more than capable of doing so, Train -> Robo -> combined Robo.

Similar to the ones in Kakuranger, and Carranger. (Shogun zords and Rescue Zords in PR)

whoa,a Sentai series based on trains? If Kamen Rider had fruit-based series,i wouldn't mind if vegetable-based Sentai series afterwards.

Should have used the Thomas the Tank robo instead

Cool!! A sentai version of Den-O. Now just waiting for the mecha, cast and costume scans.

Transformation device are electronic tickets?? That doesn't sound right, I think you mean the gimmick item of the series are electronic tickets. Kamen Rider Den-O isn't gonna like this. Another motherfucking sentai series with no henshin brace. balls.

Compared to Dinosaurs, Trains sound rather bland and boring. But then again, Dinosaurs are hard to beat and I prefer Creature-themed Sentai Teams over Vehicle themed ones.

I wonder if they really are going to completely omit the colors in the Tokkyugers' call signs. Just reading the call signs sounds a little weird. I'm kind of hoping that they keep the numbers but also have whatever color they are at the end. For example its like "Tokkyu 1 Red" (or what ever color they are) but then it would be sort of similar to Power Rangers Zeo where it's "Zeo Ranger 5 Red"

It shouldn't be that bad. There were no colors with Zyuranger and Dairanger.

as always before a new super sentai series even starts.let the complaining begin.peope dont realize what it takes to come up with original and exciting ideas for the series.without doing something that has been done before in the past sentai series.

I hope they use electronic tickets for their weapons too

Bioman used numbers (Red One, Green Two etc), Red would sometimes henshin shouting Red One.

Eight! Eight anonymous users! Ah! Ah! Ah! Nine! Nine anonymous users! Ah! Ah! Ah! I'm a teenager by the way. Please don't kill me, internet.
When I was growing up, trains were my favorite toy to play with and love how they looked. Whenever there was a train-themed Mecha in Power Rangers, I would ask my mom to take me to the store and buy me it instantly. Then I discovered Sentai when I was nine and began to watch. AS I grew up, trains became less important to me and I started using the official Japanese Sentai Names for a series and the characters. Now that there is a entire Sentai team based off Trains... I'm excited again! Great! All aboard the Tokkyuger train, bring your tickets! Thank you for reading this.
