A live-action TV adaptation of Yokomaku Tomohiro and Takeya Shuji's Smoking Gun - Minkan Kasōken Chōsa'in Nagareda Midori (Smoking Gun – Civilian Forensic Research Investigator Midori Nagareda)manga will be announced on Wednesday on the fourth issue of Shueisha's Grand Jump magazine for this year.
The story of "science and human" mystery revolved around forensic scientist Nagareda Midori wherein he works to relieve the doubts of the suspicious and proves that the suspected are innocent. The company where he works "sells the truth."
As Grand Jump lauched in 2012, the manga began having Yokomaku's writing and Takeya's art. Shueisha will release both the fifth and sixth compiled volumes simultaneously in March. And the drama adaptation would air on Fuji TV and its affiliates on April, and the cast and other information is yet to be announced.
