Dragon Ball Evolution Tops the Biggest Live-Action Film Adaptation Failures

599 people were asked on which live-action film adaptations of anime which they think have greatly failed as announced on the recent announcement of a live-action Parasyte film.

Here are the results:
  1. Dragonball Evolution - 67 votes
  2. Gatchaman - 14 votes
  3. Devilman - 13 votes
  4. NANA - 11 votes
  5. Fist of the North Star - 8 votes
  6. Sazae-san - 7 votes
  7. Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo - 7 votes
  8. Casshern - 4 votes
  9. Rookies - 4 votes
  10. Yatterman - 3 votes
  11. Space Battleship Yamato - 3 votes
  12. Black Butler - 3 votes

It's not surprising that Dragonball Evolution tops the poll and some of the reasons include "There were almost no elements from the original story," "The characters and story were a mess," and "the leaping 'Kameameaa.'"

    WHAT.
I'm surprised Gatchaman placed 2nd. I mean, I hear it wasn't spectacular, but I definitely think it stayed truer to the original series than the offshoot random failure that is DRB:E.

If anything, Avatar The Last Airbender should be there.

no it wasn't, the only thing they got right was the tone of Gatchaman.

Also the Avatar show was never broadcasted in japan so to complain about that is diffecult. and japan was one of the few countries where dvd sales were good.

Don't get me wrong i hate that movie too.
