Stan The Man On Introducing Sun Vulcan To U.S. Shores Back In The 80's

Believe it True Believers, according to an old news paper article that surfaced online, Mr. Marvel Stan Lee tried to bring Super Sentai in U.S. tv networks way back in the 80's.

In that news paper article, with Marvel's involvement with Battle Fever J, it is revealed that Miss America was supposed to lead the team but for some reasons couldn't do it. And it was also revealed that Denshi Sentai Denjiman and Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan was also produced by Marvel!

According to Stan himself, he loved Sun Vulcan that he wanted the series to become a successful show in the Saturday morning block. Stan tried selling these shows to American TV networks such as HBO with new voice tracks or take prints, replacing the Japanese actors with American actors (something that saban did years later when Power Rangers made it to U.S. tv).

Any chance we could get a link to the article? I was able to dig up some info on Saban's first attempt at bringing Super sentai to the U.S. with Bioman and how that never really happened. (although he did film some scenes with american replacement actors). I'd love to read this article.

Now I can't help but speculate how Power Rangers would have turned out in Marvel's hands, and with longer history...
