AKB48 idols Anna Iriyama and Rina Kawaei and one of the male staff members underwent a successful surgery after being attacked at a handshake event this past Sunday.
Iriyama suffered a fracture in her right pinky finger and a laceration to the head while Kawaei suffered a bone fraction and laceration in her right thumb and lastly, the male staff suffered cuts to his left hand. the surgery began at 9:00 p.m. and lasted 3 hours without any complications whatsoever.
The suspect was identified as Satoru Umeta (24), and admits to the attempted murder charge after being arrested. His mother had responded to press inquiries on sunday night saying that his son did a terrible thing and she apologizes for all the wrong that his son has done.
When questioned about his son if he is a fan of AKB48 or not, she responded that she never saw anything like CDs or handshake event tickets or anything that would interest him about AKB48.

if he never interested in AKB, why he did this kind of thing...., another nuts in this world heh
