Toranomon, Mascot of the New Tokyo Skyscraper

Fujiko F. Fujio's Doraemon character seems upgraded with his white shade and black stripes. This white tiger-themed Doraemon is known as "Toranomon," a mascot representing Tokyo's newest high-rise development in the Toranomon business district. Aside from that, it has made its appearance in a commercial bearing the tagline "Hello, Mirai Tokyo" (Hello, Future Tokyo).

The Toranomon Hills building has opened on Wednesday and a part of the different projects for the 2020 Olympic Games. In line with that, Doraemon is the official ambassador for Tokyo's 2020 Olympic Games.

The skyscraper measures 52-stories high which made it as the second tallest in Tokyo respectively. Moreover, Mori Building Company has come this far for their project in order to fulfill their plans on developing the district for the next ten years. And as they continue these developments, they will invest about one trillion yen (about US$9.8 billion) in the area.
