Okada Masaki of Otomen and Mirai Nikki Drama is taking on his first Action film in the movie adaptaition of Strayer's Chronicle which is based on Honda Takayoshi's three part novel in 2012. He is joined by a slew of young actors including Kamen Rider Wizard's own Haruto,Shunya Shiraishi and Sometani Shota (Eien no Zero) and Narumi Riko to name a few. The film is slated to hit the cinemas in 2015.
The film will be directed by Takahisa Zeze (Heaven's Story) and screenplay written by Kohei Kiyasu.
The plot is about teenage assassins with super powers working for a politician, which is not far from our Marvel Superheroes. However, I am looking forward to this Asian version of the X-Men, if not to see Okada work it out on the screen also Haruto without his magic and his donuts. Okada is said to play a guy who was bullied because he was "special" and so he has trauma about it.
The directors had mentioned the discipline of Okada during the work out scenes and his dedication to training for the film. Well, that all remains to be seen as we look forward to more updates regarding this scifi flick.
