And again, another sad news has hit the air for those who are eagerly awaiting the 2017 reboot of the Power Rangers movie as the release date has been moved... again.
According to the good folks at Toku Nation, the movie's January 13, 2017 release date has been pushed back to March 24, 2017. No explanation from Saban or Lion's Gate has been handed out yet. As usual, stay tuned for more news.

Uhmm, to be honest, don't consider this as a sad news...
If anything, this is a SURE sign that the studio is CONFIDENT about this title. From a marketing perspective, at least.
January releases are usually slotted for movies that are simply deemed not as good, and are dumped there because its studios are afraid they won't be able to compete with blockbuster releases.
Beside, it's not like the delay is 1 year. 2 months is relatively short time, especially in the cinema business, don't you think?
You know i wonder if they should cancel the movie before they makes things worse like negative reviews or box office bomb that will bankrupt both companies. Maybe its best that the tv series should end before they release the movie (i think)

During the second season of power rangers, when they started using the dairanger footage. There was a problem with Qilin Ranger’s Drunken Fist style and they couldn’t show it to children hence why the main 5 suits weren’t used but at the same time they wanted to bring back a all time favorite, Jason David Frank, and used Kibaranger’s suit to bring him back.

That was what MMPR season 2 was like: Kibaranger suit for Tommy and Zyuranger suits for all the rest. That picture is the one with the re-designed MMPR season 2 suits that they made for the movie.
