Actor Yutaka Kobayashi, famous for his role as Kamen Rider Baron of tokusatsu show Kamen Rider Gaim to star in a film adaptation of Sanami Suzuki's Little Match Girl.
The film will also star SKE48 idol Sumire Sato, voice actor, Kensho Ono and fellow Boys and Men idol, Takafumi Honda. Directed by Hiroshi Uchida with Kitaji Ishikawa writing the script, the film will open in theaters in Japan on May 28. A promotional pic of Sumire Sato as Rin, the enigmatic protagonist of the film is shown below.
The name of the manga draws inspiration from a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The original manga follows the somewhat mysterious daily life of Rin(Sato) and her "delusion matches" that turns momentary delusions into reality in their flickering flames. Kobayashi, Ono and Honda play as people with darkness in their hearts who encounters Rin.
