On the 7th day of this month, actor Sousuke Takaoka was arrested for injuring a 20-year old man on the streets of Setagaya, Tokyo. The actor (33) was taken to the Metropolitan Police Department. Charges were not filed as Takaoka had agreed to a settlement, the agency reports last Jan. 27 through their official site.
The site reports, "With regard to this matter, we are pleased to report that, Takaoka has now entered into a settlement agreement and shows deep regret over his actions. To all of his fans and parties involved, Takaoka apologizes for the worry and inconvenience he has caused."
Takaoka was known for his break-out performance in the controversial movie Battle Royale, in which he played the pacifistic Hiroki Sugimura. He married Japanese actress Aoi Miyazaki,best known for roles such as in Nana, June 15, 2007. She then filed for divorce in December of 2011.
