Yuko Oshima, the voice behind the Japanese dub of Brave's Merida reprises her role after 3 years in the Disney Channel show Sofia the First.
Oshima feels very happy in returning for the role of Merida. In this episode, she plays Merida, giving encouragement to Sofie who's short on confidence. Oshima says, "The role has also taught me important lessons in overcoming obstacles. Take note of a little more mature Merida as you watch the show."
Sofia the First is broadcasted by Disney Channel since 2013 and is also being broadcasted over TV Tokyo. Sofia was just a regular girl until she becomes a princess when her mother marries a king. Scenes where Disney princesses appear and counsel Sofia in times of uncertainty are also worth checking out. The most recent episode is "Secret Library", "secret" being the keyword.
