Ready for some more Ultraman Orb news? Well, the main cast for the upcoming series that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ultraman franchise has been finally revealed so read-on after the break.
Introducing our main hero, Gai Kurenai, portrayed by Hideo Ishiguro (from Kamen Rider Den-O). Gai uses the Orb Ring and the Ultra Fusion Cards, which contains the powers of the past Ultra warriors, to transform into Ultraman Orb.
Here is the team of SSP, Something Search People, a group of individuals that tracks strange phenomenons. The group members consist of Naomi Yumeno, Jetter Hayami, Shin Matsudo and is lead by Naomi's uncle, Ittetsu Shibukawa.
Naomi Yumeno (Miyabi Matsuura), the girl who is searching for the mysterious giant of light that she sees in her dream. She helps in funding her team, SSP.
Jetter Hayami (Naoto Takahashi, operator Morishita of Go-Buster), a photographer and a website admin for SSP, is one of Naomi's friends who's main goal is to become rich and famous by uncovering the truth about UFOs.
Shin Matsudo (Nerio Hiroaki), is the tech geek of the SSP team. He also has knowledge of ancient civilizations.
Ittetsu Shibukawa (Shingo Yanagisawa, officer Shinji Koba from Kamen Rider Drive The Movie: Surprise Future), Naomi's uncle and captain of the SSP team and is a member of the VTL (Versatile Tactical Leader).
Jaguras Juggler (Aoyaki Takaya), is Orb/Gai's nemesis. A mysterious figure who works in the shadows. He uses the Dark Ring and Monster Cards to summon various enemies to mess Orb's day.
Ultraman Orb is written by Takao Nakano along with Yuji Kobayashi and is directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi and will premiere this July 9, 2016.

I have to say that Something Search People is the dumbest organization name ever. But it looks like a fresh departure from the usual special units from other Ultraman series.
