Well looks like we're in for a hell of a season. The driver for this series has got to be the uglyest in the entire franchise. It looks like a toddlers play set and the colour doesn't help. The riders and forms look god awful (one looks like akibared, one looks like meta knight and the third one literally has FUCKING emo hair on his helmet) and wtf are the collectables for this season supposed to be.
Ugh lets hope this seasons at least better than ghost.

I honestly don't consider this that bad, minus the weird Anime Hair.

But am I the only one who can't help looking at the face plates of these Riders and see Megaman characters? Seriously, this is like Kamen Rider meets Megaman!

Not saying it's a bad thing, it fits the gaming theme, but it feels weird.

A lot of people didn't like the Ghost Driver at first but people still liked it. I actually like the forms , weapons , Driver, and the color scheme. It took me a bit to get used to the color scheme of Ex-Aid, but now I have no problem with it

Well I'll say this I would be 100% fine with this idea if it was a different toei hero, but it's Kamen Rider and this like just doesn't fit it. Do you guys agree?

People can bitch and moan about the suits all they want but I'm pumped. These toys look fun, the riders are interesting. I seems like they follow a similar style to Zyuohgera villains were each one represents a certain style of game, plus we get a rider who is a bike instead of vice versa. Plus I love the eightys cheese of it saying game driver in neon letters over a cheetah print back ground.

The collectables are meant to be some form of retro game cartridges or something

I like all the designs and everything looks cheesy yet cool. My only problems are that the colours are WAAAAAAAY too bright

So PIC6 (the one under Genmu) makes me think the season will have a CastOff style gimmick.

O_O this looks like it's gonna be amazing! I already like the whole leveling up concept and all the different gear they have.

All of this revealed in just the first catalog, if the storyline is on point/creative, I'll be hooked!

Now that I've seen a clear image of his actual suit, I still think that he looks sort of weird. It's clearly obvious that they wanted to make his suit a visual pun by having the riders eyes looking like anime game characters but still gives it that bug eye look, which is kind of similar to drive eyes being car lights, or ghost having hollow eyes as a ghost but still looks like a bug. Toei wants to probably capitalize on the gaming trend right now, especially seeing that it's a big deal right now in pop culture.
As always, I love the fact that kamen rider uses leather and pads on the suit to give audiences that armored look which I liked. However, I don't really like Ex-aid's is colour and hair makes, it him looks loud. Kamen rider Genmu should of been Ex-aid suit instaed because his colours are some what balance out, almost the entire body of Ex-aid is purple/pink. Out of everyone, Brave looks the best, he reminds me of one of those monsters in Digimon.
The suits would of looked alot more better without those eyes (especially ex-aid along with that colour and hair). Had they've taken out the pupils, the would of absolutely looked like traditional kamen riders. Regardless, most of them look good enough and I know it'll grow on me, the most important thing though is the story if the tone is immature and cringey then I'll have to skip it, but let's hope it'll be awesome.

The Gamer Driver is... Actually kind of interesting. If what I'm gathering from these images is correct then it appeared to be a combination of Fourze's belt and W's belt.

I like the desing and the motif of this kamen rider series. i think the one who looks less cool is ex-aid himself.The only thing i find weird in the desing of the riders is that they all have shorts.Also the Gasshats(cartridges) are in shap of 9 so that's the number motif.

Still weird seeing a Kamen Rider that doesn't have the iconic bug eyes.

I'm good with the wacky and unconventional design of the suits (which is what the modern shows post-Kamen Rider Agito are now infamously known for), but taking out the classic look that pretty much ties all the series together is a big no-no for me.

One thing people need to remember is this is Japan. What's weird to us is kinda normal to them.

Yeah I know. I had kinda the same thoughts when I first saw it a year ago but got over it and honestly I'm just pointing out my problems with this new series as I see it. As much as it seems I'm not trying to be a ranting asshole yelling about things I don't like before the series has even started and it's fine if others like them. It's just I can't seem to get over these new weirder designs but I might when I see them on screen. Same went for Toqger's outfits, gekiatsu dai-oh & Deep spectre all of which I got over, began to like or just forgot about the problems.
Looking closer at them I can see how they look like cartridges but crist toei is just screwing with us at this point with the whole Collectable device numbering thing making them kinda look like a 9.

first kamen rider I've been excited for in a while.

I don't think anything here looks terrible at all, just weird. The chibi forms AR probably the only thing I actually dislike. Everything else I'm fine with. It's just all so strange and different from anything else in the Kamen Rider series.

So does the bike really become a Rider? Guess it's Autovaijin 2.0.

So I was talking with my friends last night about how Rider Ex-Aid looked too much like a "Video Game Rider" with how the forms looked like they were based of different game classes/types with a major Megaranger vibe. Looks like my theory was correct.

After looking at all the items i think toei's motif this time is "90's" look.. well keeping in line with their numbering system fingers-5=wizard, open loc-6=gaim, inverted car-7=drive and infinity sign-8=ghost

I cant comment much for now as i need to see the first episode of the series. It might change my view toward kamen rider ex-aid. But based on first look not bad and the only thing that i am not satisfied is there is no bug eye like usual kamen rider.bug eye represent kamen rider and without it kinda a frustration.

If Game of Thrones is the cash cow for HBO, then Kamen Rider should be a cash cow for both Toei and Bandai.

I think it's refreshing. We all knew video games was coming at some point - kinda interesting they chose to mix it in with a "first aid" kinda theme.

...this could be interesting. Probably gonna have a lot of Riders - especially since the proper Secondary Rider, or at least the second belt, won't be revealed for a bit more at least.
And I doubt all the heroic Riders will work together at first. Even in co-op games, there is a lot of potential to backstab your buddies.

The structure of the enemies may be different too - there'll be 8 bosses according to the article, and I'd wager they all are evil Riders.

I'm also liking the level up concept, and am wondering just how things will work at LV1. I doubt Toei will have them as chinos for big fights...well, maybe for drama, but not too often.

All in all, aspheric may take some getting used to, but I'm excited for the series.

The designs might be ugly but I do at least love the gimmicks and concepts of this series. They're going all out with the video game references. From using "Amiibos" for power-ups, to each Rider being based on a different game genre. Starting out as chibi forms before leveling up to fully grown bodies ala Mario. Even giving Ex-Aid his player 2 counterpart.

When I first saw it, I didn't get it but now I'm starting to really enjoy it. I look forward to it. Hope that they did something similar with Sentai...

And I thought my hate for Decade's design couldn't be topped, but here it is. THIS is the single worst Masked Rider design EVER! Period!

Each year when a new riders revealed, I always have hope it'll get better but this year just went straight into the ground for me. #disappointed lol

2. im all up for a comedic kamen rider, but i hope it wont rot my damn brain

3. i like parts of the designs but not other parts of them especially the colors.

you could show me like any rider season and id be on board. For some id be like "its different but every season is different" and that makes me more excited for them, especially when you tell me there gimmick and reason for it. But for this, man you could tell me hes fucking fighting Satan in the apocalypse and it still would make me uneasy in terms of how it'll turn out

I kinda like the chibi form. Reminds me of B robo Kabutack and how i liked that show as a kid. Just think of the chibi as their "masked form" just like in KR Kabuto

The bicycle combines with Genmu, not sure if it's just an armor or a ride. The motorbike is Ex-Aid's and it can transform into another Kamen Rider
