Can't wait to see how they explain the Japanese all over all the weapons.

Yay I really can't wait to see how they butcher this Super Senti series.

@Zenix 29 well Samurai ignored all the Japanese on their weapons so I assume Ninja Steel will do the same

@Glenn Ebner you can't ruin Ninninger because it was already a terrible sentai to begin with

Hey kids, don't mind the kanji all over our swords and Super Ninja Throwing Stars (whatever they ended up calling the Nin Shuriken), even though the Ichibantou toy will probably just have "Power Rangers" replacing it.

  6. Of course!!!! That is how Saban does it now. Select only the easiest series to butcher and stretch it out!!!! They skipped Gobusters to do three years worth of Kyoryugers and they again skipped another series and will stretch out Ninningers until ZyuOhgers!!!

  7. Because the sentai version isn't botched too....

  8. Because the sentai version wasn't botched too

    Ninja's are Japanese.
Don't think they have to explain it beyond that.

Kinda like how they didn't have to explain why Symbol Power only worked in Japanese Kanji in Samurai.

Yaay I really can't wait to see Sentai purists realise they were wrong when Ninja Steel continues the success Dino Charge began. To this day I still don't understand why these purists think an adaptation ''ruins'' or ''butcher's'' Sentai. Yes Power Rangers has had it's good and bad moments like any other show and if anything it only damages it's own reputation.

Haha downgraded all the Japanese element things like they do with Kakuranger and Shinkenger duh.

damn, i liked color trains. their loss.

But in Shinkenger and Samurai, kanji was a smaller theme, as far as seeing it on their items. It wasn't plastered on absolutely everything they use. It was really only on the mecha, helmets, and some disks. In Ninninger, it was on the Ninja Ichibantou, ALL the shuriken with the exception of Kyuemon's green shuriken and the Shukyoku Shuriken, the logo is a stylized 「忍」, the Ninja Gekiatsutou, the Chouzetsu Shoubu changer, and the Karakuri Hengen.

I like how they couldn't be bothered to make their own poster, and just plastered the PR logo on a promotional Ninninger photo.

Not only that, but one can't deny the fact that Toei is running out of ideas. Three Dinosaur Seasons ( Zyranger, Abaranger, and Kyoryuger), ninjas (Kakuranger, Hurricenger, and Nininger), and now animals (Gaoranger, Gekiranger, and Zyuoger). Most sentai teams have animal-teamed motifs, but these three are heavily centered around it.

Although their American adaptations had somewhat made improved aspects, I do have a bad feeling that it won't soon run out of steam. Since all the PR seasons do is adapt sentai footage, nothing would new for children nor challenging. I do hope things will change, but for now, things are not looking too good.

I'm still waiting for a Shinigami theme or an insect themed sentai series

    Y SKIP MAH T R A I N S Z Z Z Z Z ?

I think it'll be a new tradition for PR to skip every other season. First we lost spies, and now we lost trains.
Although, tbh - I wouldn't mind them skipping overpriced rubix cubes.

Aaaand, as a sidenote - I can't wait to seeing how they handle the American ninja with a burger phone.

  18. Anonymous Says:

"I'm getting fired up" in the most blatantly non-believable acting - sentai was/is terrible.

PR has "the Samurai" and Power Rangers Dino Charge, so - Ninja Steel could go either way. As long as they don't do the whole "Jaden Shiba is an acceptable adaptation of the MAJESTIC BEAUTY OF A SAMURAI THAT IS TAKERU SHIBA" kind of mindset, Ninja Steel has promise.

  19. Anonymous Says:

Gekiranger was kung-fu, like maskman and dairanger.

  20. So not only did they reuse not 3 but 4 themes in Sentai, looks like Toei is at a crossraods here.

If you ask me,I think they should really make a Sentai based entirely weapon-based kinda like Soul Calibur and Samurai Showdown or armor-based like the Metal Heroes and hey,if it is successful, they might bring back the Metal Heroes as a bonus so they won't use Sentai's name on a gimmick they created. :) Though its just wishful thinking. They could also make a warrior-class based Sentai like Red is knight, blue is ninja, etc.

Also,Ninninger is just awful. Ninja Steel is gonna be better written thanks to Judd 'Chipp' Lynn who is like the Ian Flynn of Power Rangers or Fabian Nicieza.
