The design is bad, and Toei should feel bad. 'Nuff said.

I love coming to this... website... and seeing the comments from 40 year old men who cry that Kamen Rider isn't grimdark enough for them as they try to squeeze into a children's size trilby and call it a fedora.

What did we do to deserve this...? We've been rooting for the Kamen Rider Series...and Toei gives us this shit?!?!?!??!!? Toei you better hope you don't pull another Metal Heroes...

  7. So I was right, this looks like the idea of Ex-aid chibi form came from another toku series that Toei produce known as Kabutack. Maybe they're paying tribute to that just like how fourze payed tribute to another toku. But this is not suited, for kamen rider maybe it would have been suited for sentai with their mechs that could then transform into a more warrior look.

    Two thinks I liked:

1- the video had a commercial with a countdown that said "Skip in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" and yet when it had been five seconds, you totally, like, COULDN'T skip the commercial after all.

2- all the exclamations of "Ohh!?" and "Ehh!?"

^they didn't read anything about the series before this entry^

I think it looks great, can't wait for october 2 to see this new show

  10. The plot is this "thing" is the LV1 Ex-Aid, A kinda anti-virus/bugs-hunter (The computer's virus/bug is the monsters of this show). Then when the virus/bugs got their way out into real world (I assume that it take a human body), Ex-Aid will need help from another human (here come our protagonist) to become LV2 Ex-Aid and take action in real world too.

At first I think he might be an avatar like Yurusen or Ankh. But as it shown on this video reminds me of Robocon, Robotack and Kabutack. Metal heroes that appear to be cute before it transform to it's cool battle form. The original Robocon was one of Ishinomori Shotaro work, The father of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series. Those series was air right before Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Love this series already. Agreed with Kabutack references. Hell, this will be the biggest hit of the year!

The franchise just jumped the shark. Oh, my God. T_T

  14. I was totally Okay when TOEI changed the original format with the traditional cyborg into a mystical gimmick. Then it just got totally wacky as a transforming gizmo whether it's a science oriented powers or mystical enchantment. Then the design really got dopey such as Ghost and Gaim. What really bothered me was a grim dark drama turning into a kiddy fiasco such as Den-Oh which I cursed the show. That Ex-Aid looks like it has the worse of both worlds, bad design and kiddy comical series.

  15. Kabutack, Robotack and Robocon especially are not even close to Metal Hero series and from 1997-1999 Super Hero Time before it was called Super Hero Time was no longer the same and Super Sentai was the only thing worth viewing. Robocon should never been part of that tv package as it was mostly a kiddy comedy show.

Seriously, I could design a better Kamen Rider than this piece of poop.
