Timefire? Dekared Swat Mode? Magired? Or both? Nuff said! Here's a our first live look at the Kyuranger's 12th ranger (or form some, their 6th ranger entry), the Phoenix Soldier! Just look at his helmet, it really resembles the Kyutama that he will be using to transform!
Phoenix Soldier will transform into his ranger form using the Phoenix Kyutama and is armed with the Houoh Blade and Houoh Shield and will pilot his personal 3 part Voyager Machines, the Phoenix Voyager, Phoenix Station and Phoenix Base.
These machines can combine into a single fighting robot, Gigant Houoh and can combine with the other main 11 Voyager Machine's orb parts to become Kyutamajin.

Helmet reminds me of KingRanger from OhRanger series

I was about to say it reminded me of Kingranger. And a bit of ShinkenRed's helmet (only because the helmets bear the kanji for their elements.
He looks a lot better now that we have a clearer image of his suit. I see that toei is trying to bring back leather suit again since Go-busters which is good. I agree that his visor is very similar to King ranger, but is he gonna be the ranger that fits n with the "sixth rangers"?. Would he also have an actor or would just have an alien form with a suit actor doing the performance?
Well what do you know? The second time a sixth ranger (I'm assuming he would be the "sixth" ranger of the series since he's different from the rest in terms of the suit) is the exact the same color as the leader red ranger.

I think Houou Soldier might be Hoshi Minato, that pop singer who made a cameo in the first two episodes, played by Hiroya Matsumoto (Magi Yellow and Beet Buster). I could even picture what his role call will be:
"Pop Star! Houou Soldier!"
just a tiny assumption. look at the glove, look alike as Scorpio's
the headset makes his head look like a kyutama.
I believe Mako would like her helmet back. I still feel like the phoenix wings should've popped out of the helmet to look better, but my personal preference.

The return of leather suit is totally welcomed! Bout the helmet, we'll get used to it sooner or later.
I like Phoenix's design. Feels like I'm seeing Time Fire again: another Red Ranger with a more agressive design to contrast with the protagonist. A good point of conflict between this one and our bastard red ranger would be that Phoenix does not believe in luck and dismiss it as something stupid, generating conflict.
