Good God, its like the writers realized that they were spending too much time on the other characters and making them likable, so they decide to forcefully stop the far more interesting Naga arc to a grinding halt to remind the audience how 'great' Lucky is. Honestly, the build up to that arc could've been done better, but at least it provided some interesting insight into Naga, his species and Balance. The writers are so obsessed with making Lucky better than everyone else that it drags down the show. Past idiot reds could get repetitive in terms of personality and character arcs such as Kai, Ban, and Jan, so I could understand why they tweaked the idiot red a bit. But god damn, they made things worse by making them perfect. Toei really needs to retire this perfect idiot archetype that started Kyoryuger, or maybe just the idiot archetype in general. I'm not asking for the next red to be Marvelous or Takeru, just something different then what we've been getting. Also, I don't like Don Armage's design. While it does look threatening, the exposed brains and ridiculous wings kill it for me. He looked better with the white hood robe on.
