You guys might want to read the article that they linked to. It doesn't actually say anything about Kyuranger being the next Power Rangers, it just says that Power Rangers will be on Nickelodeon for the next 3 years. They just used that image because that's the image used in the article.

Hopefully they can do a better job than Toei. I really want to see a Power Rangers series with Guardians of the Galaxy vibe.

The twitter linked to an article that used Kyuranger as an image. This in no way confirmed anything.

Urgh, I was hoping that since it was bandai america who now produce super sentai, that power rangers could have been is own thing, but nooo saban love for cheapness know no bounds.

Not just about Saban cheapness. By having two markets several years apart it allows Bandai to extend intellectually properties for much longer time. That’s especially useful for a toy and figurine maker as it allows them to reuse molds or have an outlet to send inventory if they didn’t sell well in Japan. The toys cost a lot more than new packaging to change to English

I hope that they make more power rangers even after their contract with Nickelodeon has expired.

I hope they continue making power rangers on a different channel after their contract with Nickelodeon has expired.

    Where is casting?

  12. Anonymous Says:

70% Power Rangers, 20% Super Sentai, 10%'Bulk, Skull'

I’d say using an image with Kyuranger does at least give it being the next PR season credibility.
My qualm is that... well. PR on Nick has not been doing that hot. I’d actually hoped that Saban would move elsewhere.

Who’s to say that Kyuranger wasn’t made with an adaptation to PR in mind?
I doubt we’ll ever get a fully original PR series unless you count the Hyperforce RPG on Twitch. That’s not to say there won’t be an original plot (RPM vs Go-Onger, for example), and the cockpit scenes have been shot fresh from Samurai onwards. But... yeah. It’s kinda just How Things Are. Kyuranger being made in part by Bandai America is probably the closest we’ll get to a “Sentai made by Saban”.

  16. Given the toy news this week, I find these comments really fun.
