The Kamen Rider Franchise in itself has been iconic for decades. And for the franchise, the opening theme songs can be just as iconic.
So here are my top 10 Kamen Rider Theme songs!
For this list, I will put my favorite theme songs in chronological order to make things a bit easier. This list is solely based on my personal preferences. Let us know your personal favorites in the comments.
1. Kamen Rider Agito - Kamen Rider Agito
Kamen Rider Agito is the last Kamen Rider theme to explicitly mention the name of the rider in the song. There's a charm once you hear "READY TO GO COUNT ZERO".
2. Alive A Life - Kamen Rider Ryuki
The overall theme of mirrors used in Kamen Rider Ryuki is perfectly reflected (ha, get it?) in this song. I'm pretty sure I stood in front of mirrors with this song playing in my head.
3. ELEMENTS - Kamen Rider Blade
Kamen Rider Blade is the 1st Heisei Kamen Rider show that had a completely different song used for the later part of the show, where others often used the second stanzas. I chose this over Round Zero ~ Blade Brave because of the sheer energy in this song. Round Zero is still very good though.
4. NEXT LEVEL - Kamen Rider Kabuto
Just like ELEMENTS, this has a lot of energy in it. But instead of feeling stronger, you'd feel like you wanna go faster than light with this one. Beverly's rendition at the 2019 Chou Eiyuu Sai should've been included in the Heisei Rider Song Remaster Collection in my opinion.
5. Climax Jump - Kamen Rider Den-O
Probably one of my top picks if it really comes down to what I really liked best, Climax Jump is by far one of the best I've ever heard. I used to listen to this a lot when riding trains. Admit it, you guys have probably done the same.
6. Journey Through the Decade - Kamen Rider Decade
One word to describe this song: EPIC. Thanks to Gackt's vocals and the music. Need I say more?
7. Surprise Drive - Kamen Rider Drive
Once this song starts, so will your engines. Just don't get carried away if you listen to this while driving. Drive safely, my friends.
8. EXCITE - Kamen Rider Ex-Aid
The techno beat and synthesizer mix will make you go EXCITE on the dance floor. And the music video has actual dance steps you can learn if you really want to break it down.
9. Be the One - Kamen Rider Build
Another rider theme song you can add to your dance playlist, this song is one of my top picks because of Beverly's powerful voice and high tones. You can rave to this while shaking your full bottles instead of light sticks.
10. Over Quartzer - Kamen Rider Zi-O
For the 3rd time in a row we have another dance song as our opening theme. But the music of Over Quartzer is definitely solid and very much likeable. I do sing along once the chorus comes in.
