Another day of mourning has come to the tokusatsu community it was announced that legendary tokusatsu suit modeler Eizo Kaimai has passed away at the age of 90 due to leukemia last April 24, 2020.
Before Mr. Kaimai started on Ultraman, he was best known for his suit modeling works in the original Godzilla movies including Godzilla Raids Again, Godzilla VS King King and Godzilla VS Mothra.
He then started to work for Tsuburaya's1966 Ultra Q after that, he returned on Ultraman Jack, Ultraman Ace, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Leo and ultraman 80.
To all of us here in the tokusatsu community, we thank you for the legacy that have left us. Rest in peace, Eizo Kaimai.
