It has been announced that the Space Battleship YAMATO film remake, Space Battleship YAMATO 2199 will start airing in Japanese television this April. It will be the first new Yamato television anime series in 33 years.
The new anime is scheduled to air on 5:00 PM time slot on Sundays.
The 4th chapter of the film series, featuring episodes 11-14, will hit Japanese theaters on January 12th. Meanwhile, the 5th chapter, featuring episodes 15-18, will play in 12 theaters on April 13, before going on sale on Blu-ray and DVD on May 28.
