The 18th issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype Ace magazine features “Mobile Suit Gundam UC: The Man Who Could Not Ride the Rainbow”, a manga adaptation by artist Hiyon Katsuragi and original novel author Harutoshi Fukui.
Instead of a Gundam pilot, the manga stars Bright Noa, the commander of three successive Gundam Newtype ace pilots. It is set immediately after the events of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack film.
