Tomomi Itano Announces Graduation from Idol Group AKB48

Soloist and idol group AKB48 member Tomomi Itano had announced during an exchange in the group's new documentary film, “No flower without Rain”, that she had plans on graduating from the group within the year. Details are yet to be revealed as of writing.

Tomomi Itano is one of the remaining 1st Generation members of AKB48. She started releasing her first solo single “Dear J” on January 2010. She already appeared in various dramas like “Majisuka Gakuen” and “Sakura kara no Tegami”, and the tokusatsu series “Kamen Rider W” and its movies. September last year, she opened her own social networking site, Team Tomo.
