Apart from the upcoming crossover video game Project Versus J, Toriko, Dragon Ball Z and One Piece will have a crossover anime special entitled “Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special!!”
The special will be divided into two parts, “Run, Strongest Army! Toriko, Luffy, Goku!” and “History's Strongest Collaboration vs. Glutton of the Sea”.
Arisu Takagi, Toriko producer, teased various possibilities for the upcoming special. This includes a battle between Zoro, Zebra, and Vegeta; Sanji and Komatsu's cooking match; and Chopper witnessing Goten and Trunks' fusion. Mr. Satan is also said to be in the special, as well as gag scenes, and a battle scene where Toriko, Luffy, and Goku all team up together. Producer Takagi adds that this time they will "cram it all in."
The hour-long “Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special!!” anime special will air on Sunday, April 7 at 9:00 a.m on Fuji TV.
