"Daily Lives of High School Boys" Manga Gets Live Action Film this October
It has been announced that Yasunobu Yamauchi's gag comedy manga Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily Lives of High School Boys) will be getting its live action adaptation starring Masaki Suda (Kamen Rider W) as Tadakuni, who acts as the straight man of the group.
Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze) and Shūhei Nomura (GTO 2012) will also be included on the main trio as Hidenori and Yoshitake, respectively. Both of them usually gets the group involved in crazy schemes.
Supporting cast includes Kumiko Shiratori, Sara Takatsuki, Yui Koike, and Eita Okuno, who will play the roles of female high school students. The film will also feature a new original character named Saino, played by Rui Kurihara (Zekkyō Gakkyū).
The original manga follows the humorous yet "realistic" everyday life of Tadakuni, Hidenori, Yoshitake, and other students at the Sanada North Boys High. The film follows the story of the trio's all-boys school and an adjacent all-girls school, as they organize a school festival.
Directed by Daigo Matsui (Afro Tanaka), “Daily Lives of High School Boys” premieres October 12th.
