First Real Look at Kamen Rider Gaim

Here it is folks! Kamen Rider Gaim, the 15th Heisei Kamen Rider was finally revealed! As stated in previous information, it will be using fruit-theme, and as well as being a samurai of some sort.

Kamen Rider Gaim transforms using the Sengoku Driver by inserting a Lock Seed into the driver and then cutting the fruit part by the Knife Cut. Gaim's belt will be released by October while Lock Seeds are ring-like items that are available in both Capsule and Candy versions on November and December.

Since Kamen Rider Wizard will have at least 51 episodes, Kamen Rider Gaim is expected to premiere by October.

  1. i don't know why people hate the design, but for me is amazing, not as amazing as wizard but it still cool and good looking.

But i don't see where the fruit theme is lol, i'm just glad they didn't really put the fruit theme lol

    1. its a little too big and fancy. when i think of kamen rider i think of a simple sleek armor that clings to the body, no large shoulder pads that look like they would get in the way, minimal ornaments on the head, and rid of all that junk around the belt thats unessessary. theres a power in simplicity and the very first kamen rider had that. and it seems like they are getting rid of the bug eyes which i dont like either but its trade mark and just has to be kept

  3. Meaning no offense or disrespect towards the suit designers, But I think this looks less like a Kamen Rider and more like a poorly done rip-off of any tokusatsu suit.
This one looks even sillier than Fourze's suit, and that's saying something.
They pulled off the samurai look very well, I noticed that even without reading the description, but the rest of it ... I have no good words for it.

  4. Well, he's not the best looking rider. Definitely not the worst. It's okay.

  5. The design is pretty cool, the fruit theme is wrong.
I can foresee the next Sentai being based on fruits as well. Red Apple, Green Lemon, Yellow Orange, Blue Blueberry and Pink Strawberry. You don't create a team of heroes based on food. that's so wrong.

  6. I don't like the shoulder.
It's kinda wierd & too big, in my opinion.
but everything else is fine for me.
can't wait to watch the series.

  7. Wow the rider design really is unconventional, just like some anon said its definitely feel n look more like a tokusatsu rip off than a kamen rider.. hope the story is better..

    ReplyDelete
  8. cant believe more elements of the kamenrider basic look was lost with this design, it's too samurai looking

  9. I like the design of him, and I think the armor he has is to represent the fruit Orange, based on the color and how it looks, (This is based on my observation)and if you look at his shoulder plates, you can see that it looks like it can fold out, but thats just me thinking of what it looks like to me. In any case I'm looking forward to seeing this guy in action.

  10. Sengoku driver and he is a samurai... Wonder how long into the series that nobunaga is mentioned

  11. Everyone on this site is skeptical on the reveal of every damn Rider or Sentai. Honestly, you can't judge a rider until you meet the Rider inside the suit. Er, the character. I've loved Fourze since day one, but I can understand why most didn't, I completely sympathize with them. But after meeting Gentaro, most came out loving Fourze in the end. Still, I see tons of people who can't grasp how tokusatsu changed after the tsunami. We're not getting any more dark melancholic riders. Light hearted can work just fine given it's execution. Fourze was a fine example. So we can't judge Gaimu so presumptuously.

  12. If thats gaimu then what the heck were those eyes from the silhouette's http://www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/attachments/month_1306/1306151423958a883d4208c231.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1069933_553895278002186_176746924_n.jpg for tricking us

  13. *snicker* sillier than Fourze's suit... hahahahah

  14. To be honest I like the design. I'm one of those kamen rider fans that really doesn't have a problem with pretty much any kamen rider suit designs. Gaimu looks cool. It's funny how the first pic we got really was the back of Gaimu lol. I think the shoulder plates to look a bit thick and cheap looking.

The sengoku driver really has a knife on it. Don't know how well that come off with the parents. Having a knife on a toy and all. As for the gimmick item of this series. The lock seed, I was clueless enough not to realize they were going to use actual locks!!! It's so obscured. Usbs, coin medals, ink cartridges, and rings were ok. But locks??? It just gets weirder.

  15. Looks fine to me. Oh, that chest armor.. looks like from Kabuto, just sayin'

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Anonymous #1: You see the armour plates on the chest and shoulders? They look like the skin of an orange. That's where the fruit motif comes in.

And, the suit looks okay but the thing on his head is really putting me off. I would've expected it to be symmetrical. Oh well, I'll get used to it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. ready for some fruit ninja? xD

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'll be honest here, I don't think the suit looks like a Kamen Rider, but I still like it and I've also been waiting for a samurai Kamen Rider... I just didn't think it'd be fruit related

    ReplyDelete
  19. This will be interesting like all Kamen Riders out there I will watch & love them all can't wait to see what Toei has in store for this coming season

    ReplyDelete
  20. The key is number 6

    ReplyDelete
  21. He looks like a lobster.

    ReplyDelete
  22. A fruit theme and samurai looking Rider...

Uh... Why does it remind me of Fruit Ninja?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think i'm hungry after hearing Gaimu is a Samurai Fruit Rider. Also... Candy? :D

    ReplyDelete
  24. let the complaining begin.im going to give the series a chance though unlike some people.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I may finally stop watching Karmen Rider. I love the series and have been watching it for many many years. The only way they were going to lose me as a fan is doing worse suit designs. I miss the basic days when their belts and costumers weren't so TACKY. Karmen Rider has now JUMPED THE SHARK.

    ReplyDelete
  26. and the second rider will be some random theme instead of samurai/fruit.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 1st Den-O then Fourze now Gaimu and they say the Mask Rider adaption sucks but this is worst.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Dat armor...it looks like it's literally hanging off him. And I don't know if it's the way he's tilting his head, but the crest looks like it's off center. Doesn't look too bad but will have to watch the first ep and make decisions then.

    ReplyDelete
  29. look cool.he still more rider-ish than hibiki,so thats good,so,the gimmick is seed.seed sound similar to six.so the number theory for neo heisei rider seems legit

    ReplyDelete
  30. its too UGGLLLYYY...damn it..even FOurze is better looking..looks like the last KR series tht i watched is still gnna be Double..i bet the enemy Kaijin are better looking than that

    ReplyDelete
  31. reminds me of tomica hero rescue force

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ah!
A lock with fruit/Symbol an the belt
    Then
the knife on the rihgt cut the symbol of.flip down
    The lock open an
    Henshin
    Orange fruit samurai!

    ReplyDelete
  33. It doesn't look that bad. A little bulky though.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The suit looks like a mixture of Kabuki, Chalice, New Den-O, part Masked Form from the Kabuto universe, and Beast.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Without the Orange Lock Seed I'm instantly reminded of Hibiki in his normal form, whatever it's going to be called. It's funny because Hibiki also had historical origins and influence of a similar nature.

It's not too bad, not too happy about the samurai armor being an orange in disguise, but I'll deal. What I really like about it is that this show's theme of fruit and nutrition combined with Kyoryuger's song-and-dance theme makes for a great way to market good values of proper wellness to children. I wouldn't expect a deep and emotional plot coming from this(either Kamen Rider is shit serious or it's REALLY CAMPY), but I like Kyoryuger for it's light-hearted and more traditional Sentai approach, so it'll most likely be a good series, clashing colors or not.

  36. whats the fixation with navy blue and gold? i dont get it three riders already and two six senshi i get gold but navy blue why?

    ReplyDelete
  37. i miss the red-round-eyes kind of thing

    ReplyDelete
  38. Personall I feel the blue attire does it nice, however the orange is just clunky to say the least. Wish it was either omitted or streamlined to match the suit better.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wanted break dancing rider ;_; Maybe next time.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The only weird part of this suit is that orange thing around him, what the hell is that supposed to be?A armor?A orange skin? And seriously, blue with orange? It also looks like its not properly attached, that its kinda floppy and coming off,its really weird.
It would look cool if they just took that off,but well...

Now we just have to wait and see what kind of weird noise/music the driver will make.
OOO's singed a word,in Wizard the driver had more personality than Haruto, maybe now in Gaimu the driver will sing a full song...

    ReplyDelete
  41. I wonder if it;ll have a lock and key sorta theme in addition to the fruit theme

    ReplyDelete
  42. what some people May not know is that the orange on the suit is the armor attachment from slicing a orange. his look will change drastically depending on which fruit he slices. by the way... his design is kick ass!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Is he related to the number 6 somehow?

    ReplyDelete
  44. The suit looked a lot smaller in the shot of his back, but to me it definitely looks like a Kamen Rider.

    ReplyDelete
  45. kamen rider fruit ninja !?

    ReplyDelete
  46. so the six motifs is taken from the lock eh?

    lock > roku > six

i see what you did there toei

    ReplyDelete
  47. I like the look of this guy, and I think the armor it suppose to be inspired by the fruit Orange or something similar to it, this is by the color and the look I'm getting from this. Also if you look at the shoulder area, it looks like it opens up, so this could resemble the fruit it suppose to be, by that just my view of what it looks like.

But never the less, I'm looking forward to seeing this guy in action :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Well someone told me the numerical rider theme/scheme ended with Wizard but I can guess Gaimu 'G' symbol on his uhhh sword sheath(?) looks like a 6 to me. Guessing its still going on then the numerical rider theme/scheme.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nice!! Nothg wrong with me. Ths design r cool n good than fourze -.-"
Yeah same here, stil cant detect where is a fruit. Myb dot dot in he amor n arm same like orange hik.
    Gaimu, pls dont dissapointed me..

    ReplyDelete
  50. does look a bit silly but maybe this will be a comedy series like Den-o, that show was really popular with the audience at the time- little kids will want to buy the toys which is what Toei wants - I'll watch this to see how it goes. W and Kiva are still my faves.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Guess the fruit theme applies to its amour...
And the gimmick is the loco seed, which looks like a blend between a padlock and a fruit seeds, the one he's holding...

He looks neat, first look reminds me of Ixa Rising... Maybe coz the former motif was a knight while the latter is a samurai..

All in all, well... Not as bad as the first time seeing fourze.. At least.. Lol..

    Looks positive for now

    ReplyDelete
  52. Fruit ninja....hum Sorry Samurai, fruit samurai o.0 ??

    ReplyDelete
  53. I believe that the golden armor is suppose to be an orange. Also the second rider was revealed as well.

    ReplyDelete
  54. that diamond-shaped belly section (rage)

    ReplyDelete
  55. jeeze, the quality on that camera aint so good.

well, it's pretty obvious where his armours going to fold out for the different forms, kind of reminds me of den-o in that regard.

his design is whacky and wild and fun looking, i'm hoping his series is going to be like forze in that regard, i want another fun series

also, in regards to this guy having a "6" motif, beast had a 6 sided dice in his sword and magnum's can only fire 6 (or 7) rounds before reloading. just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I wonder if the number 6 will be included with his theme to keep the tradition going. Maybe 6 different fruit armors. Also I call it now his final form will be a garden or a fruit basket motif.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Looks like a mutated version of... Kamen Rider Meteor's Ultimate form. hehehehe

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm done.......foreel... Where's my childhood heroes??? I'm not watching kamen rider until another bug themed rider is out... Ishinomori's riders are dead along with him too i guess.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Kamen Rider R.I.P

Wizard was the beginning of the end. A fruit Samurai Rider lol. This is sad .

    ReplyDelete
  60. The design doesn't really seem like any kamen rider I've seen, this feels more like a big leap in design like hibiki. No offense, while the suit isn't too bad it looks more like a metal hero. Actually more like a armor hero from Korea or something. The red in the armor kinda looks weird, but since this isn't the best quality in image maybe that's the reason. The helmet also kinda looks weird. Hopefully he can strip his armor like shurikenger and reveal a speaker and cooler form

  61. "Chan chanbara! Chan bara bara!" - Oops, wrong show! :P

"Tenkagomen no Samurai Raida! Gaimu! Mairu!" - Oops, wrong show again! XD

    ReplyDelete
  62. Wait, is that Annoying Orange in a Rider suit? :P

...then I guess his henshin call would be "Henshin! Knife! *slash*"

    ReplyDelete
  63. the lock looks like number 6 to me.

    ReplyDelete
  64. To the people who say RIP Kamen Rider, please do us all a favor and shut up. Each Kamen Rider series has been awesome in its own way and Gaimu might be too. If you want to watch older Kamen Riders, you can watch them anywhere on the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  65. i like how the fact that it looksw like its loose and the visor is awsome hopefully our second riders name is percival

    ReplyDelete
  66. I can't believe people are complaining about the fruit motif. This all started with a grasshopper motif! A friggin grasshopper! And the original Kamen Rider is cheesy and ridiculous too. You're taking this too seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  67. for those who say this is ok:

It is awful. Rotten designs, stupid premise. Silly.

    Really, really awful.

Oh well, let's see what they can do next year...
