To commemorate the partnership of M78, the Land of Light, and Sukagawa, Fukushima, a new Ultraman statue was erected earlier today in front of the city's train station.
The original Ultraman attended the event as a representative of Nebula M78, while Mayor Katsuya Hashimoto represents the city of Sukagawa. Sukagawa, Fukushima is the birthplace and hometown of Ultraman creator and tokusatsu director Eiji Tsuburaya.
