Here's our first look at Kamen Rider Gaim's monster design, most likely the first monster he fought in the 15th Heisei Kamen Rider series. The monsters in the series will be called Inbess.
The show's setting is in an emerging city apparently controlled by Yggdrasil Corporation. Bored kids uses street dance to pass time, but use small monsters called Inbess, which came from another dimension, and hold secret battles. Unbeknownst to them, there are risks in these as larger holes became a passage for larger and more powerful monsters to get to our world!
Additionally, here are some shots of Kamen Rider Gaim Pineapple Arms and Kamen Rider Zangetsu, as well as the battle between Kamen Rider Baron against Gaim, on a horse!
To premiere on October 6th, Kamen Rider Gaim will be directed by Ryuta Tasaki (Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger) and Takayuki Shibasaki, with scripts from Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet). The show was produced by Motoi Sasaki (TV Asahi) and Naomi Takebe (Toei).

ReplyDeleteThe monster reminded me of the Alpaca from Akibaranger when I first saw it. ._.;
ReplyDeleteI just had a thought: since the Inbess concept seems to draw some inspiration from pokemon or yugioh, maybe the fruit theme is supposed to be an allegory on some of the more outrageous designs of some monsters from those series.
ReplyDeleteI will say this: the fight scenes do look kind of cool, not as flashy as Wizard or cartoonish as Fourze. These riders actually look like they're in a warring states-type battle. (I know these are just initial stills, but that's just what it looks like to me so far.)

ReplyDeleteWhy do they have horses and motorcycles??? That's so stupid. This is the problem with a modern samurai kamen rider. I always wonder if they would have a kamen rider series like place in the past. And just use time travel for team ups.
