Hajime no Ippo: Rising Cast Announced

Shonen Magazine had recently announced the voice cast and working staff for 3rd season of the anime adaptation of George Morikawa's boxing manga, Hajime no Ippo: RISING.

• Rikiya Koyama as Mamoru Takamura
• Daisuke Namikawa as Manabu Itagaki
• Keiji Fujiwara as Tatsuya Kimura
• Kohei Kiyasu as Ippo Makunouchi
• Wataru Takagi as Masaru Aoki

New Challenger's Jun Shishido and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, will continue directing and writing the anime at Mad House and MAPPA. Koji Sugiura (Hajime no Ippo, Mobile Suit SD Gundam Festival) will be designing the characters, and Masafumi Mima (Hajime no Ippo - Champion Road, Guilty Crown) take the position of sound director.

The new anime season will pick-up after the end of Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger, after Mamoru Takamura became the WBC Junior Middleweight Champion after defeating Bryan Hawk. This season's highlight is Ippo Makunouchi's match against Ryuhei Sawamura, a boxer that stopped the former's knockout and special move — the Dempsey Roll.

Hajime no Ippo: RISING premieres this fall.
