The manga adaptation Nagaru Tanigawa's The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series will be ending this September. Author Gaku Tsugano made the announcement on Shonen Ace magazine that the manga will end at the next chapter.
“Next time is the final chapter! I'll do my best to the end!”, Tsugano commented.
The story centers around the narrator Kyon, as he was dragged along by his classmate Haruhi Suzumiya. She is an eccentric girl seeking supernatural phenomena and figures such as aliens, time travelers, and espers. Together with Yuki Nagato, Mikuru Asahina, and Itsuki Koizumi, they formed the S.O.S. brigade solving "supernatural" incidents.
