TBS had opened a new web page announcing a new drama series entitled Andō Lloyd ~A.I. knows LOVE?~. The drama , that will premiere this October, stars SMAP member Takuya Kimura (Space Battleship Yamato) and singer actress Kou Shibasaki (47 Ronin), which last co-starred in a drama series a decade ago.
Neon Genesis Evangelion's director Hideaki Anno will be working on the show's story and concept with fellow director and Kazuya Tsurumaki and Mahiro Maeda as contributors. Scripts will be handled by Yumie Nishiogi (Keizoku 2: SPEC).
A genius physics scholar Reiji Matsushima (Takuya Kimura) is killed one day in 2013 due to unknown reasons, and left behind his fiancee Asahi Andō (Kou Shibasaki). Although his name was known around the world as a college professor, he was also a researcher investigating wormholes. Asahi, a businesswoman in an IT Company, is suddenly followed by an unknown person, and later found out that this man is named Lloyd, who looks exactly like her deceased fiancee! In reality, Lloyd is an android sent from 100 years in the future in order to protect her. As Lloyd spends time with her, he comes to feel various emotions, including love.

so it's terminator as a j-drama series but in this version the robot is protecting her not trying to kill her...
