Attack on Titan Manga to End at Vol 20, No New Anime Just Yet
Original author Hajime Isayama reveals in an interview with fight sport magazine Gong Kakutogi that he plans to end the survival manga Attack on Titan on its 20th volume. Isayama had just released the 11th volume last August and coming this December is the 12th volume.
Additionally, at a live event screening the final episode of the Attack on Titan anime last Saturday, the staff stated that as much as they have the intentions and desire to continue the anime in the future, there has been "no green-light given just yet".
Present in the event are director Tetsuro Araki, producer Tetsuya Kinoshita, animation producer Tetsuya Nakatake, manga editor Shinataro Kawakubo, and voice actors Yuuki Kaji (Eren), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa), and Marina Inoue (Armin), and Hajime Isayama himself,
The story centers around the lives of Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert, who live in a world where the remnants of the human population live inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the sudden appearance of the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad it stuck to the manga story and didn't go with an orgional ending.
ReplyDeleteHope there is a second season
ReplyDeleteAlso the pace of the story in the series is too slow... Hope that is also fixed in the second season
ReplyDeleteI want a second season even though I actually just got into the series.
ReplyDeleteBut to be honest, Sword Art Online, Accel World, and Tiger & Bunny didn't get 2nd seasons yet. Yes they are different companies but that makes me worry.
