The full trailer of “Nuigulumar Z”, starring idol and anime otaku Shoko Nakagawa, had been released. The movie is based on a novel by Kenji Ohtsuki titled “Hōsei Ningen Nuigurumā” which itself was inspired by a 2000 song by his rock band Tokusatsu, “Tatakae! Nuigulumar”.
Shoko Nakagawa plays as Yumeko Ayukawa, a lolita fashion-clad girl, who also goes by the name Dameko. She possesses the ability to merge with her pink teddy bear Buusuke to become “Nuigulumar” in order to battle against a villain named Takeshi who’s using zombies in his plot to take over the world. The film has 109 zombies on the set — the most on any Japanese film.
Also starring in the film are Rina Takeda (High Kick Girl, Dead Sushi), Mao Ichimichi (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger), Hiroshi Neko, Takagi Koto, Jui-Bu, Saito Takumi, and Haraiwa Kami.
Directed by Noboru Iguchi (RoboGeisha, Karate-Robo Zaborgar), “Nuigulumar Z” premieres January 25th, 2014.
