The official website for the Super Hero Wars films had recently been updated, announcing its latest installment, Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider Wars feat. Super Sentai. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on March 29th, 2014.
This year's film, Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z debuts at the third spot of the Japan Box Office Weekend earned 233,504,650 Yen (2,377,310 USD) from 201,006 viewers in 289 screens. Meanwhile, Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen debuts at the top spot, earning 41,0038,450 yen from 355,985 audiences at 292 screens.

YES YES YES!!! This is awesome. Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Heisei vs Showa: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai. lol Poor sentai, they have been downgraded to "feat." But it's really not a big deal, in the previous films super sentai's role has been pointless. It's mostly about the riders. If you notice the previous two films it's just about fucking Dai Shocker returning again and again.. So I'm ok with this.
ReplyDeleteThis time around with can accept Tokkyuger's small role in the film. (Which is also good, since as of this comment it's being universally hated.) We can just expect the usual Akaranger leading a few teams in battle crap. Nothing special. I do wish we get a little Den-O Tokkyuger crossover since they are both train heroes.
Hopefully this taisen film can be good. Quality over quantity Toei. There is 30 Main riders when you combine both the Showa and Heisei era. Add in some but not all the other secondary/evil/dark/extra/movie riders and we should be ok. Hopefully for no clusterfuck.
Also I'm hoping Toei can bring back some Senior riders to reprise their roles. Since this does have a bigger budget than other rider films and the fact that all the other taisen films brought back some rider/sentai alumni, we have to some back!!!! I hoping for Tsukasa the most. The Neverending Journey of KAMEN RAIDA DIKEDO!!!! This film looks to be made for him, come on it's gonna be epic.

ReplyDeletehated the idea, they gonna ruin the classic showa riders in favor of the heisei ones (like they usually do) and in the end it will be just another crazy plot (involving Decade and Diend) for everyone team up to defeat the true villain. and they just gonna show all of the previous sentai suits with no important role in the movie.

I mean, let's face it. Most of the Senior rider's actor had already step aside their acting career away to pay attention to more important things than acting, not to mention some of the actor were already passed away (Kamen Rider Stronger's actor for example) and most of the original Rider's actors had their other commitment in non-toku shows or movies, in which constraints their free time to reprise their role once again due to tight schedule. Take this for example, Hiro Mizushima is still busy with Kuroshitsuji live-action movie, Takeru Satoh still busy with his Ruroni Kenshin and other live-action adaptation manga movies, Koji Seto still busy with Sadako 3D, recently we have Masahiro Inoue who is still busy with his latest Tae-kwon-do: Rebirth movie, Renn Kiriyama still busy with other non-toku movies, Sota Fukushi still busy with Library Wars and Shunya Shiraishi still busy with his horror movies that will be released later somewhere in 2014. In addition, there is a slight question about where the actors are gone now, for example where's Joe Odagiri (Yusuke Godai of Kuuga) is he now? Where's Kamen Rider Hibiki's actor? Where they are gone? Are they still active or already retired? That's why I said I really doubt if they could reprise their role again.
For now until they feel they like to reprise their role again for fan's sake, I can said that it's a challenging task (or almost impossible) for Toei to recall their Rider's original actors to reprise the role once again.
So what we need is for the 15 Heisei riders to get turned into their final form rides and team up with the 15 showa thus revealing OOO, Fourze, Wizard and Gaim's final form ride (A giant Orange bowling ball maybe?)
