The Japanese government will fund a new Japan Channel that will broadcast anime, drama, music programs and travel programs will air on select countries starting next year.
The Japanese government is allocating 15.5 billion yen (about US$14.7 million) for subtitling and dubbing costs as well as publicity, setting up foreign broadcasting offices, and co-producing programs.
The new channel will launch in Thailand in January, in Indonesia in February and Cambodia in April. The government is also considering launching the new channel in the United States, Europe and Africa.

I hope the US Broadcast will be available in Canada
This is the right direction. The streaming network was the first step even though it failed.
Although this may not guarantee some tokusatsu shows, I'm happy this is happening.
can't wait to see it cancelled 6 months later.
Any bets on how long before this gets cancelled like the last one?
it looks like the Korean Wave and their agressive marketing finally open Japanese government eyes up. well, it's better late than never.
i wonder if this will have a negative affect on fansubbing.i prefer it myself since theres no monthly fee and you dont have to wait months to get the newest episodes subtitled only a week or so.
If it makes it to usa I hope sentai is on it and cable provider picks up station.
Yes please!
No Philippines :(
No Malaysia? Please make this come true!
