JKT48 Holds 1st General Election

AKB48's Jakarta-based sister group JKT48 holds their first general election.

JKT48's general election would be the first general election to be held outside Japan. And just like AKB48's usual general elections, fans will be voting for 16 senbatsu members to sing their 6th single that is set to be released in May.

JKT48 is the first overseas sister group of AKB48 formed in November 2011. Their upcoming general election would be including the current members together with the third generation members who would be determined on the final auditions on March 15th.

On April 26th, the event under the title "JKT48 6th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo" will be held in Jakarta. As their 5th single "Flying Get" released on the 5th, voting tickets were included. Aside from that, fan club members will also have their opportunity to vote. And the voting would be until April 22nd.
