Suda Masaki Wins Newcomer of the Year in Japan Academy Prize

The Japan Academy Prize for this year's "Newcomer of the Year" award goes to Kamen Rider W's Philip, Suda Masaki.

The 21-year-old actor has thanked all his supporters and family, as well as the staff and cast of the film where he starred, "The Backwater" (Tomogui) through his blog. The film is based on Tanaka Shinya's novel at the same time, he was also the one who wrote it. Also, the film itself won the Best Film on the Locarno International Festival.
