Images for the Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone Anime Film Revealed
First images from the upcoming Lupin the III film, "Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone" has been revealed!
The film is said to be the continuation of the spin-off anime series Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine which took place in the early years of Lupin's career.
Director Koike Takeshi (Redline) stated that he wanted to "try to depict how Lupin and Jigen became partners."
Film producer Kiyozono Yu (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine) stated, "I want to continue to create even more spinoffs with a new, cool Lupin III." In line with that, film director Isshi Katsuhiko (Redline) lends his strength as the film's creative adviser while Takahashi Yuuya (Tiger & Bunny) is in-charge of writing the screenplay, and Shimoji James (Redline) takes his role for the music.
Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone will last for 51 minutes and will have a limited special screening at Tokyo's Shinjuku Wald 9 theater from June 21-27.
