To host a special screening of Macross first movie, Macross: Do You Reember Love? is the space-ship-shaped Shotaro Ishinomori Manga Museum on May 4th. It is called a special movie screening not only because we are revisiting Macross' first movie but also it is projected onto the facade of the building itself.
The museum offers free admission for the screening as the event begins around 6:30PM JST.
Located in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, the Shotaro Ishinomori Manga Musem is a form of dedication to the city's most famous author, known for his Cyborg 009 and such. It was greatly damaged during the earthquake in 2011 and has been officially reopened in March 2013.
So far, the museum hosts "Macross the Museum," an exhibit which includes a 1:1 scale VP-1S cockpit that will last until the 6th of July. Previously it was hosted at The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in Takarazuka City.
