Saban Brands (known for Power Rangers and also filing plenty of patents with which some are not used) has registered a trademark for a Power Rangers Productions South Africa LLC last march 19.
And according to the character breakdowns for next year's Power Rangers Dino Charge (filming details has been confirmed as of this), filming will start this September outside of the United States but the breakdown didn't specify a country (Power Rangers was filmed in New Zealand since Power Rangers Ninja Storm).

Does it mean they are going to stop shooting Power Rangers in New Zealand, and do that in South Africa from now on?
ReplyDeleteinteresting. having the filming in south africa might be easier to bring in european and american actors rather than new zealand, which has a longer travel time from the us.
ReplyDeleteit would be a interesting change of scenery to go to south africa. But compared to costs staying in NZ vs SA i dont know what would be the best cost effective move to do. Though it would be neat to see it move to SA but that would probably make it even more harder to have past actors return then the NZ move vs doing UK, or move to canada or back to US.
ReplyDeletemaybe its cheaper to film in south africa?
ReplyDeleteAnd it's time for Samba in Dino Charge..?
