According to THR, the production of the follow-up movie to Del Toro's epic rock and sock 'em monster vs. mecha movie, titled Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, is put on indefinite hold by Legendary Pictures, delaying the movie on it's planned 2017 release if this movie gets made.
